900 people worked on the visual effects of Avatar

                                                  

The best ever visual feast in the history of world cinema is James Cameron’s Avatar.Cameron’s vision and imagination are the reason for this.New Zealand based Weta Digital,a leading visual effects company has employed 900 people to work for Avatar.To date, Weta Digital has won five Academy Awards for Best Visual Effects: The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001), The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002), The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King(2003), King Kong (2005), and Avatar (2009).

The director of Weta Digital  Joe Letteri was the Avatar’s visual effects general supervisor.
